Privacy Policy

This page explains what data this blog collects and how it is used.

Analytics #

This blog uses Umami, a privacy-focused, open-source analytics tool. It is self-hosted at home in the UK on my own infrastructure, fully owned and operated by me. No data is sent to third parties.

Umami tracks anonymous usage data such as page views, referrers, browser type, and country. It does not use cookies, does not collect personal information, and does not track individual visitors across sessions.

Third parties #

I try to minimise third-party tracking, but some of it is outside my control. This blog is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which may process request data (such as IP addresses and headers) as part of serving the site. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for details.

Why #

I use analytics to understand which posts are read and where visitors come from. This helps me decide what to write about. Nothing more.
